St. Andrew School is fully recognized according to Policy and Guidelines for Registration and Recognition of Nonpublic Elementary Schools by the Illinois State Board of Education. As such, it meets all criteria set forth by the State Board and has a staff of fully certified teachers and administrator. As a Catholic elementary school in the Rockford Diocese, St. Andrew is certified by the Diocese and successfully meets the criteria of the Diocesan School Evaluation Process. The Iowa Cognitive Abilities Test and Test of Basic Skills are given to students in grades 3, 5, and 7 each school year and starting in the 2015-2016 school year to all grades.
